The Capitol Dining Room is
a cafeteria-style dining facility which is open
Monday-Friday at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast, and features a
daily lunch entree, salad bar, soup and sandwiches. The
Capitol Dining Room, located on ground floor in the south
center corridor, is open Monday through Friday from 7:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Phone (402) 471-7748.
The "Capitol Corner" Gift Shop, located on ground level in
the south center corridor, is open Monday through Friday
10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Gift
Shop provides
gifts, souvenirs and Nebraska related items. Phone (402)
471-2062. The Office of the Capitol Commission and the
University of Nebraska College of Business Administration's
Nebraska
Center for Entrepreneurship
are operating the shop in a joint venture to provide
university students with the opportunity to manage all
aspects of a business operation. A non-profit group, The
Enterprising Collegiate Student Organization operates the
shop. The students work under the guidance of a Board of
Directors made up of business and civic minded professionals
with an interest in mentoring students entrepreneurs.
Vending rooms and public telephones are located on 1st and
2nd floors of the Capitol.
Accessible restrooms are located at the four corners
of the outer square of ground level of the Capitol. There
are additional restrooms by the tour office at the north
entrance on second floor.
